With not much of a summer this year, it's evident
that autumn is on it's way. With the days already beginning to shorten and the nights and
mornings cooling.

Autumn is our favorite time in the garden
and our garden centres are filling with all the bounty of
summer. Rich coloured Dahlias, Delphiniums and
Penstemons are just some of the many vivid flowering
perennials that are featuring and will sing through into
the autumn. Perennials are hardy must haves in your
garden, the joy they bring is very uplifting.
Perennials quickly do their thing - growing furiously
and then flowering their heads off. After all this
expenditure of energy perennials take a well earned
rest, usually over winter. After a little rest they stir into
action again and do the same thing all over again.
Perennials will make themselves a comfy position in your
garden and reward you handsomely. Cut their flowers
and enjoy them indoors, or share with family and friends.
I's very special to give a beautiful bunch of flowers grown
from your garden and heart.

Along with perennials, bulbs are another fabulous
addition to your garden and it’s time to start
thinking about them!

Very soon all the Grow Master Garden Centres will be
groaning with boxes of new season's bulbs.
Bulbs are easily worked into existing flowering beds and
they make the best pot plants.
What about this combination – miniature golden daffodils
combined with indigo blue grape hyacinths in a planter
bowl and then over planted with violas and alyssum? The
annuals will provide a beautiful foil with the bulbs pushing
up and out to flower in spring.
You can create some really interesting combinations for
your pots using bulbs so get in nice and early so as not to
miss out on all the wonderful options.
Send us in a picture of your finished masterpiece
and we can share it with all our Grow Master Friends.
